Comments: What's with these "international" cards anyway?! Perhaps this was just another way to re-release a set at a cheaper cost to get kids back into the hobby? The 1995 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man 150-card set appears to have been reduced to 50 cards in this case, re-packaged with a different copyright date (1997 vs. 1995), and with a different manufacturing company (if in name only): Fleer/Skybox International. There are other noticeable differences besides the numbering scheme: 1) the international set does not contain gold foil lettering on the card fronts and text on the upper left simply reads "Fleer Spider-Man" vs. "Fleer Ultra Spider-Man" on the 1995 set; 2) there are slightly different color schemes on some of the card backs - grey backgrounds vs. black backgrounds on the 1995 set.

There also exists a 1997 Spider-Man Int'l set in which all text is in Portuguese. It is likely this set was produced in different languages (hence the name "International") and distributed in different countries.
