Comments: It appears that the only new artwork for this set are the beautiful Alex Ross chase cards. All basic card artwork appear to be taken from selected panels/scenes of the corresponding comics. This may disappoint some art fans, however, keep in mind that this is a set that celebrates and pays tribute to the Marvel silver age of comics and comic artists. The most interesting part of this set is the text on the card backs, as bits of trivia and insider knowledge are divulged by the creators and the reader is given some insight as to how these great Marvel characters were born and have evolved over the years.

Autographs and original sketchagraphs were available at one autograph card and one sketchagraph card per box. 10,000 sequentially numbered boxes were made for this set.
